How To Survive A Heart Attack When Alone

Let's say it's 6:15 PM. and you're driving home (alone of course), after an unusually hard day on the job. You're really tired, upset, and frustrated. Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to radiate out into your arm and up into your jaw. You are only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home. Unfortunately, you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy that taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.

Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.

However, these victims can help themselves......
By coughing repeatedly and very vigorously.
A
deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest.
A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without letup until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.
Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating.
The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm.
In this way,
heart attack victims can get to a hospital.

The Top Five Cancer Causing Foods

The following information on the top five cancer causing foods has been credited to Mike Adams, known as the Health Ranger. According to Adams, the top five cancer causing foods are:

1. Hot dogs are high in sodium nitrates. The Cancer Prevention Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you really crave them, then buy those without sodium nitrates.

2. Bacon and processed meats. Also high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs. Bacon and other processed meats increase the risk of heart disease. The saturated fat in bacon also contributes to the risk of cancer.

3. Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble! First, they are made with white flour, sugar and hydrogenated oils, then deep fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts, says Adams, may be the worse food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer.

4. French fries are also made with hydrogenated oils and deep fried at high temperatures. They also contain cancer causing acrylamide which occur during the frying process. Acrylamide is a chemical that can form in some foods during high temperature cooking processes, such as frying, roasting and baking. Acrylamide caused cancer in animals that were exposed to high doses of acrylamide, according to studies done by the US FDA.

5. Chips, crackers and cookies. These are usually made with white flour and sugar. Even those whose labels claim to be free of trans-fats generally contain small amounts of trans-fats.
